Japan down Nicaragua to join Puerto Rico in World Championship Final
Ren Ota pitched 5.2 scoreless innings in relief, and Kei Kawakami went 3-for-4 with one RBI and two runs scored, to lead Japan to a 7-2 win over Nicaragua to clinch a spot in the World Championship Final. Japan finished on top of the Super Round standings with a 4-1 record, and will face Puerto Rico in the final match.
