Women's Softball World Cup Trophy showcased at 2026 Winter Olympics Foundation

The Italian Olympic Committee congratulated the Italian Federation, which aims to bring more high-profile baseball/softball events to Italy.

Italian Olympic Committee President Giovanni Malagò showcased the WBSC Women's Softball World Cup Trophy at the Milano-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics Foundation in Milan as part of the WBSC Women's Softball World Cup Finals Trophy Tour across Italy.

"I congratulate the Federations and the whole softball movement for how they promoted the World Cup Finals," said Malagò during a press conference.

Italian Baseball Softball Federation (FIBS) President Andrea Marcon added that earning the hosting rights of the Finals was a dream come true. "We want to host more high-profile events in Italy. The Finals were our goal," he said. "As a legacy, they will leave the awareness we can host more baseball/softball international events."

During the press conference, FIBS introduced Mandy, the WBSC Women's Softball World Cup Finals mascot.

Nicola Fasani, known as Faso, the bass guitarist of the Elio e Le Storie Tese pop band, invited the whole baseball/softball community to a concert scheduled for 12 July in Palmanova, just three days before the Finals begin.
