Therwil Flyers win Swiss Baseball Championship

After a close Game One, the Flyers outslug the Zurich Barracudas, combining 15 hits in Game Two and 21 in the rubber match. It's their 50th overall title.

The Therwil Flyers won the Swiss National League (National Liga A, NLA), sweeping the best-of-three final series against the Zurich Barracudas. It's their 50th Swiss title across all categories.

Right-hander Rafael Eigenmann pitched six innings for the win in the opening game. Takanobu Oschima took care of the final three innings.

Eigenmann caught the second game and went 2-for-5 with four RBIs. Player-manager Gijsbertha Perez pitched six innings for the win. Shuihei Iwasaki took care of the final nine outs.

The Flyers combined 21 hits to win a slugfest rubber match. Sven Leeman went 4-for-4 with a home run, and Adrian Kaufmann had four RBIs.
