WBSC Athletes Summit: Over 350 players from 44 countries participate in Inaugural edition at Olympic House

The event took place at the Olympic House in Lausanne. IOC President Thomas Bach welcomed the participants. Baseball and Softball players from the five Continents joined the panel including Monica Abbott, Timothy Atherton, Randolph Oduber, Ayako Rokkaku, Maria Soto, Vanessa Mui and Giovanni Pantaleoni.

IOC President Thomas Bach welcomes WBSC President Riccardo Fraccari, Athlete Commission to Olympic House

The leader of the Olympic Movement had a conversation with President Fraccari, Monica Abbott, Timothy Atherton, Randolph Oduber, Giovanni Pantaleoni, Ayako Rokkaku and Maria Soto ahead of the Athletes Summit at the International Olympic Committee headquarters. Abbott and Pantaleoni signed the Olympians Wall.

The WBSC invites National Federations and the wider baseball/softball community to engage in ongoing social media campaigns in celebration of World Baseball Softball Day. To add to the festivities, a US$10,000 equipment grant will be awarded to the National Federation or club that showcases the most innovative activation.

Baseball5 gives hope to Refugee Children at Azraq Camp in Jordan

The second Hope and Dreams Sports Festival gave WBSC President Riccardo Fraccari a chance to witness progress: "It is amazing to see what Baseball5 can do to help the children enjoy their lives in difficult circumstances." A baseball/softball governing body was also affiliated to the Jordan Olympic Committee.
