Nandor Tordai elected President of Hungarian Baseball & Softball Federation

Tordai will serve through to 2028. Hungary aims to expand baseball/softball through Baseball5 and will launch a National League soon.

Nándor Tordai is the new President of the Hungarian Baseball and Softball Federation. A lawyer who has been active in the sports industry, he will serve through to 2028.

The Executive Board includes Secretary-General Arpad Haragos, Kalman Kelemen, Noemi Posta, Dénes Kiss, Kriszta Kovacs-Sebestyen, Zoltàn Ragacs and Marcell Gaidi.

The new Board aims to expand baseball/softball through Baseball5 and is willing to launch a Baseball5 league soon.

Hungary first became familiar with baseball in 1980 thanks to friendly games organized by the United States, Japan, and Cuba embassies. The first official game played by Hungarians dates back to 1991, and the Federation was founded in 1992.
