Junco Mulos, Florida Titanes, Cayey Toritos and Yabucoa Azucareros to compete in Puerto Rico Double-A League semifinals

The best-of-seven series will open on Friday, July 12. The Puerto Rico Baseball Federation announced that 68 teams will participate in the Roberto Clemente Youth Double-A League. The opening day is scheduled for August 3 in Yabucoa.

Junco Mulos, Florida Titanes, Cayey Toritos and Yabucoa Azucareros topped the Carnival of Champions and qualified for the Puerto Rico Superior Double-A League semifinals. The best-of-seven series, Juncos-Florida and Cayey-Yabucoa, will open on Friday, July 12.

Florida entered the postseason with the best record (22-7) and qualified dramatically. Hector Santiago led them to the semifinals, pitching a no-hitter.

Cayey are the 2023 runner ups.

Juncos entered the post season with the best overall earned run average (ERA), 2.39.

Yabucoa is looking for their first title in 10 years.

The Baseball Federation of Puerto Rico (FBPR) also announced that the 2024-25 Roberto Clemente Youth Double-A League will open on August 3 at the Mini-Estadio Julio Rubén Jerry Morales in Yabucoa. The defending champions, Azucareros Junior, will play a doubleheader against the Guayama Phillies.

There will be 68 teams participating in the season. The other 66 teams will take the field on August 10.
