WBSC Americas Baseball
1. Recap the basic history of your National Federation and the origins of baseball in your country.
The Pan American Baseball Confederation (WBSC Americas Baseball) was founded on 12 October 1984 in Havana, Cuba, with the celebration of the XXVIII Baseball World Championship. A provisional Executive Board was named at that time, voted by 12 countries from the American continent. Today we have 29 countries.
2. Describe your top-level competition (teams, cities involved, format)
We organise Pan American championships in the following categories: U-10, U-12, U-15, U-18, U-23, Senior and Women.
Starting in 2024, we aim to organise the Baseball5 Pan American championships, both youth and senior.
At the same time, in the short term, we're working to organise Pan American championships for clubs and tournaments for children and teenagers.
3. Describe your grass-root activity.
Each of our National Federation members organise events in their countries, in different categories. Some of them play in the traditional categories, but some of them, with a bigger number of players affiliated, play in many other categories. In general, all the federations organise events at regional and national levels.
4. Please give an estimate of how many people play baseball and softball in your country.
It's hard to give a number of players in the Americas, but we can say that there are millions of players in our continent.

1. What do you hope to achieve by participating in the WBSC eBASEBALL™: POWER PROS?
We'd like to encourage and motivate our members and all young people, to be able to instill our values of competition, improvement and respect for the rules.
2. How will your presence at WBSC eBASEBALL™: POWER PROS benefit your baseball and softball communities?
We are positive that it will motivate our members and a significant number of children, teens and adults to become more interested in baseball in all its forms.
3. What skills from eBASEBALL™ do you believe will transfer to actual baseball
It will reinforce in our members our core values. We believe eBaseball will also help new followers to understand our sport.
4. How does your participation in WBSC eBASEBALL™: POWER PROS align with the overall strategy or mission of your federation?
It will create more opportunities for more people to play our sport and increase their interest in baseball. It's also a great tool for those developing countries with not many people playing baseball.
5. What benefits do you believe that you can bring to WBSC eBASEBALL™: POWER PROS?
To motivate and teach, in a practical and modern way, how wonderful is baseball.
6. What advice would you give to other NFs who are interested in being part of WBSC eBASEBALL™: POWER PROS?
We invite all our members to join us in this wonderful eBaseball experience. It not only is very funny and helps the development of the game, but it's also a chance to modernise and be at the forefront of the new trends and interests of the current population.
7. What are you looking forward to most in relation to WBSC eBASEBALL™: POWER PROS?
To bring the opportunity to hundreds of people of falling in love with baseball, hoping they can understand it and start playing.
