2014 U-15 European Championship, Qualifier underway

Europe’s U-15 National Teams are playing in Germany and Slovakia this week.

DORTMUND/PADERBORN, Germany – The 2014 Under-15 European Championship has opened up, bringing eight European National Teams together, including Belarus, Czech Republic, Germany, Lithuania, Netherlands, Russia, Sweden and the Ukraine.

No. 6 Netherlands is the highest ranked country, followed by No. 19 Germany, while the Czech Republic is ranked 27th, and after two days of competition, the three highest ranked teams in the European Championship are undefeated at 2-0.

In Bratislava, Slovakia, the U-15 European Qualifier is being staged and features eight nations, including Austria, France, Hungary, Poland, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia and Switzerland.

No. 32 France is the highest ranked team and is currently undefeated at 2-0, along with host Slovakia.

Both the championship and the qualifier are being staged from 22-July to 26-July, concurrently with the U-21 European Championship in Trebic, Czech Republic.
