2014 European Championship to be played from September 11 to 20

The 2014 European Championship will be played from September 11 to 20 in Germany and the Czech Republic. The first round will be hosted by Regensburg, Germany and Ostrava, Czech Republic. The second round is set for Trebic and Brno, Czech Republic.

12 national teams will participate in the tournament:

• Group A (Ostrava): Croatia, Czech Republic, Spain, Greece, Netherlands, Russia
• Group B (Regensburg): Belgium, France, Italy, Germany, Great Britain, Sweden

In 2010 and 2012 Italy captured the title at European Championships in Germany and the Netherlands, both times defeating the Dutch national team in the Gold Medal Games.
