WBSC U-18 Women’s Softball World Cup Group B starts Wednesday: Where to Watch

The WBSC U-18 Women’s Softball World Cup returns to China for the first time since 2003 when Group B starts on Wednesday, 14 August at the Pingtan Softball Stadium in China.

World No. 2 Japan, No. 3 Puerto Rico, No. 6 Netherlands, No. 7 Italy, No. 11 China, and No. 15 Peru will take the field aiming to claim one one of the two tickets available to the Finals 2025. 

The first game sees Japan play Peru at 13:00 local time, followed by Puerto Rico vs. the Netherlands at 16:00, and Italy taking on China at 19:00.

Nineteen games will be played to determine which two teams will join Chinese Taipei and Czechia in the Finals 2025.

The World Baseball Softball Confederation’s online streaming platform, GameTIme, will showcase all the games from 14 to 19 August.

In addition to the international broadcast, fans in China can watch the game from the following platforms: the Chinese Softball Association WeChat account, local sports streaming programming provider hupu.com, and miguvideo.com.

For US$74.99, fans have full streaming access to the WBSC World Cup season this year, live and on demand, including the WBSC U-18 Women's Softball World Cup Group B in China.

The third option is the Group Pass, which will give access to all 19 games of the Group B in China , for US$12.99.

Viewers will be able to watch WBSC U-18 Women’s Softball World Cup action for one day by obtaining a Daily Pass, covering all games scheduled on a single day. The one-day pass will be available for US$7.99.

The WBSC U-18 Women's Softball World Cup will be played under the two-stage system. A total of 18 teams have been split into three groups, with the top two teams in each group’s final standings advancing to the Finals, scheduled for 2025 in Dallas, USA.

Each group consists of a four-day, 15-game round robin with the top four teams advancing to Play-Offs on the final day where the top two sides in the standings will play each other with a ticket to the Finals next year at stake. The loser of the first play-off game will then play against the winner of the game between third and fourth, for the second spot in the Finals.
